Erin is a nationally certified Competition Coach Specialist who grew up in Calgary. She spent several years working for and riding with top show jumpers in the Pacific Northwest before returning to Calgary and setting up ISF. Erin is passionate about horse welfare and this was the driving force behind having her own stable; the ability to provide comprehensive, top-quality horse care. She is also a true horse professional committed to on-going education for herself and her students through lessons clinics and competition. These experiences come from top show-jumping coaches, as well as horseman, ranchers, dressage coaches and those dedicated to learning from horses about horses.
Andrew came to show jumping after getting his degree in International Relations from UBC. He spent several years abroad riding and learning about the sport and business of show jumping. Andrew is also a nationally certified Competition Coach Specialist and the past winner of the Talent Squad series for Western Canada with many grand prix wins. He continues to ride and show competitively in the hunter and jumper rings. As well as ongoing study of the sport and continued learning Andrew is currently involved in our provincial and national level sport’s associations, it is an important aspect of his commitment to better support riders and horses in their development.
Shawna Dunn has been a part of Ironstone almost from the beginning. She shares the owner’s passion for excellent horse care, continued learning and competition. She is a nationally certified Competition Coach and assists in the running of the farm, teaching and riding. Shawna has competed extensively up to the 1.40m level and continues to do so.
Angela Lalonde is a Nccp certified competition coach that has been with Ironstone for 3 years, she is a very valued addition. She holds a degree in business management and has travelled extensively. We consider ourselves very fortunate that she has returned to the horse industry bringing a wealth of experience in barn management and a love of teaching. With Ange joining the team ISF is now happy to offer beginner riding lessons focused on both skill development and horsemanship.
